So this will be my first daily review.I will be doing this daily on weekdays untill i run out of games. So here is the first review...
SSX Blur
Nintendo Wii
E for everyone
Ea Sports Big
2006
So SSX Blur is a snowbaording game made by EA exclusively for the Nintendo Wii. It was released Late 2006 after the wii's launch.
Gameplay: The Gameplay is so-so. You use the nunchuck to move and turn and the wii remote to exectute tricks. The turning has a good feel to it and is smooth and works well with the nunchuck.
The one problem i feel is the wii remote. To do spins and flips you need to tilt the Remote in a specific Direction. But sometimes it wont respond and u find yourself just randomly flinging the remote around hoping to do a trick. also the uber tricks are hard to do. You need to do a specific Thing with the wii remote while holding down the B button.Sp it may as you to draw a loop or an x or a heart or something. But this sounds easier than it really is..it's actually unblivebly hard to do these tricks imo.So the gameplay is just a meh for me.
Design: The graphics seem very good for a wii game. When going down the mountian it just looks good with the snow everywhere..it really gives u the feeling that ur actually snowboarding down a mountain. The menu screens look pretty good and colorful. The characters could use a bit of work but arent horrible.
Story: There really isnt much of a story to this..You start off by picking one of the four availanble characters. You then start off on a peak which works sorta like a menu as in u get to choose which part of the mountain u want to go down freely. There are challenges for every character to complete. Once u complete Competions and such you unlock more characters and costumes.
Multiplayer:The multiplayer is lacking in my opinion. You can only play 2 people at once split screen. Iwould of liked to seen 4 people on one console. What this game really needs though is online play .
Well SSX Blur is a pretty fair game with it's ups and downs.
I give this game a final score of 7.5/10
